Project “Nutritional Food Security for Integrated Human Development”

History
This Project was carried out in 2014 and 2015, in a coordinated effort between Sociedad Católica San José, Fundación Alternativas and Canadian Feed the Children, with the aim of generating replicable models to empower individuals so they could guarantee their right to food. In this sense, the project had the following specific objectives: i) empower the community to overcome the vulnerabilities related to food security, ii) generate low-cost replicable models to produce food, iii) build skills related to the preparation and consumption of healthy foods, iv) build management and advocacy skills. Accordingly, there is food security when food is available and accessible, and is used appropriately.
